The single-stage, centrifugal pump comes with downward axial suction. Radial discharge can be connected to the pipes as it is flanged to the discharge pipe, whose upper flange is in a horizontal plane above the plate.
It supports a shaft on its upper end by a grease lubricated ball bearing. Lateral support of the shaft is achieved through radial bearings fabricated from several anti-friction materials, which can be GFT, natural and synthetic rubbers orbronze chosen as per the specifications of the fluids to be handled.
Its construction comprises a packing ring that avoids the loss of grease from the bearing housing; and leakage of vapour and odour from the tank.
The plate is generally rectangular in shape. Other shapes can also be availed to suit several installation requirements.
Intermediate supports lubrication scheme:
A Wet execution with top seal forced lubrication with handled fluid
B Wet execution without top seal forced lubrication with outside fluid
Centrifugal vertical single-stage pump derived from ACC series is as per the DIN 24256 (ISO 2858] / DIN 24255 standards. Its maximum shaft length is 5 m. (15 f1.). Standard construction for standard rotational velocities up to 1450 rpm. Maximum rotational velocities upto 2900 rpm can also be availed. Radial bearings are generally lubricated by the pumped fluid, only if the fluid is free from suspended abrasive particles. It is ideal to assemble a gland packing or mechanical seal on the shaft in case of special liquids or high operating pressures. Seals in such cases are flushed with the liquids that are handled. Forced lubrication is therefore made for radial bearings. If the liquid pump is little abrasive, the clear fluids from an external source can lubricate radial bearings.
